Winter in Brazil

And just a few shots of what I am wearing here.

My new fave blue H&M jacket, my Russian scarf (traditional pattern), AE light skinny jeans, my crazy Fila shoes, tons of colorful strings on my wrist from the local market, Brazil shirt that I got here (with cool slit on the back, I have to take a pic of it one of these days!)

Yes, it gets COLD! Pictured here with Andre's NY hat.

Only +5C!!!!!!

New skirt

I was in Petropolis the other day (actually the weekend before the last one), and there, on Rua Teresa, a famous shopping street (Melrose's counterpart, so to speak), I found this a-la-american-apparel skirt, of a local brand called Veleta Basica.

Very simple, very cute. Love it with plain white tee. And what's the coolest thing about it - is that you can wear it as a high waist, or let it go slightly lower towards the hip.

Forte de Copacabana

It was raining last weekend, and we happened to be in Copacabana's fortress. The wind was insane, and this is what yours truly was wearing - of course! since I had my suede Minetonkas on, it definitely had to rain! Duh!

But really, they are the comfiest chaussure I ever ever had. With my picky feet and my fragile foot skin - they are one of the few types of shoes I can wear any time anywhere. Maybe I was an Indian in my previous life...

The rest of the outfit - a mustard see through dress from Alloy, ubiquitous AE leggings, and bright blue faux-leather jacket from H&M. Love it! Oh yes, and the wooden Forever21 earrings that half of the local artists on a local art fair complimented me on. Yeah! Maybe after all I know how to find treasures among tons of crap in F21's stores...

TreKKing in Rio

Well, since I am staying in Rio for 2 months, with no possibility of going to the gym, I started jogging. Yes, I hate jogging, yes I pant and I grunt, yes I look like a boiled lobster with eyes that fall out, yet it's better than growing a big elephant ass (which, believe me, I am VERY capable of!)

Since I did not bring any workout gear to Brazil, I had to compile my jogging outfit from whatever I found in my suitcase: leggings American Eagle, romper Forever 21, tee shirt Athletic department from Aeropostale, and my psychedelic Fila sneakers. Not sure how well they are prepared for a jog, but it's better than nothing! And the cars will see me for sure!
