I was in New York state..... of mind... again...

I am back from NYC, with a bunch of new clothing items - of course! - and this being a boring rainy day and me still not having come to my senses (flights exhaust me and I take a long time to recuperate and restore myself after them) - I played dress up a tad. Well, that was after I had to spend three hours detangling my crazy hair after the shower.

So let's see, my NYC loot consisted of:
- a pair of solid boots of dark brown suede (they are absolutely comfortable, easy to put on and look great with both Abercrombie ripped jeans, skinnies or skirts)

- a funky gray and black dress, with a knit stretchy gray underskirt and bouncy cotton overskirt and a large stylish zipper on the back

I added a lovely bow belt from H&M, faux leather, smooth pink meets brown and gray color to spice things up
Underneath - a small H&M gray cardigan, it is very thin and looks cozy with the thick fabric of the dress, not to mention does help to keep you warm in the evening or when the sky decided to cry for days and you want to wrap yourself in a blanket! The little black shrug is of sexy lace and adds up a tad of a flirt. Meoww!

This look is not brought from NYC - but it has something to do with it - I bought the skirt at Forever 21 just before my trip, the roses and the rustic feel of it conquered me, and I threw it into my suitcase hoping to rock it at some point. And I did. With thick gray tights and beige knee high boots it was a hit.

Here I am rocking it with a mickey tee from heritage (just felt like a gray top for some reason), dark tights and red lips.

And this is the direct evidence of how magazine promotions affect our lives.

I saw this breathtaking blue faux-but-oh-so-soft leather jacket in a Seventeen magazine that I bought to look through on the plane. And I simply had to have it. When I found myself in an H&M store somewhere on the 34th West, the deal was sealed.

Oh yes.

And this is the long Hello Kitty shirt I got in Moscow about a year ago, seduced by the lacey bottom.... I paired it with faux-leather leggings from Forever21 and a pair of Urban Outfitters booties for the complete look.

Leggings and shoes up close and personal...

Oh yes - and Clarissa is wearing a fun semi tartan dress, with a studded rockstar belt from H&M. To finish the look and keep Clarissa warm, I threw a great mustard color Novica scarf a friend gave me a few months ago. It's of fine wool and is a great companion on a cold day. To add a fun twist, I put my hair band with a gray flower over Clarissa's neck as a necklace.
